step 2 cs visa

when we go to give step 2 CS what is the visa type we copme under? i am planning to fix my appointment date wit the US embassy so i don;t miss out on my dates as there is a long wait period.i will be applying for CS soon and i think ECFMG will send the visa letter along but need to know now cause i don;t have the time to wait till it comes

The only option you have B1/B2 visa. Explain the scenario why you want to come to US. Consulate is wary of candidates seeking to get into US on a permanent basis, so you should be able to convince that you would return once the exam is over.
