Hi, I am posting this on behalf of who is applying for Preliminary Surgery at UMH,Baltimore.
I was a Intern last year. I am going to describe my experience.
This Program SUCKS. They are definately going to exploit you. This program is very busy and management is not good. Program Director does't like Foregn Grads except for prelim. Surgery as a labourar.
Definate difference between Prelim and Cat. residenct.
A resident name Cecily is going to be Chief next year and She is the queen of Toxicity esp. with Prelim residents. Last year our one of Prelim resident got 99 percentile in Inservice exam, He had Double 99 in USMLE, eventhough they didn't gave him Cat. spot b/c he is a foreign Grad. And the story goes on and on
So Please choose this spot as your last resort.
