| What is the difference between an H1 and H1B visa. The USCIS uses a nebulous lingo to explian which I cant really make out. |

H1 and H1B refer to the same thing. It is a type of work visa. |

| Yes but the ERAS registration page mentions them as separate categories to tick. |

Tick both of them.
(Technical info: H1B and its cousin H1 are same type of work visa. One of them can only be used only by Singapore and Chile). |
