30 program limit for the scramble?

Thanks Dr Root for answering all my questions!

Another question:

I heard that there is a 30 program limit for the Post match scramble...is it true?
If so, is the 30 program limit only through ERAS or in total? Cos I believe we can contact some programs by passing ERAS and we fax our details and talk to them directly without the involvement of ERAS. In that case, we can apply as many programs as we can without using ERAS..right? And if we use ERAS, we can apply for only 30 programs. Pls correct me!

There is no program limit. Just to let you know, Post-match scramble is not an organized event. Students as well as PDs desperatly seek out each other to fill the position.

I know that scramble is a gamble..but I would like to try my luck.
