application(CAF) submission vs program selection

We can make our program selections before submitting application ... we can add & pay for more programs later . If can manage to get interviews earlier like e'g.Oct/Nov. can we still go on adding programs (depending on how the interview is going )... will things work at all this way?

Yes you can keep on adding programs as you go.

Many people do the selections in batches depending upon the response from the programs. But remember that you have to select all the colleges you want to apply to before December so that you have a chance to get an interview.
