Dear Dr. Ananya:

The first thing to do is to choose a residency that fits your needs- either IM, FP, Peds or anything. Then got to the FREIDA online website- type the word "FREIDA" in google and who will find it. You can select the residency programs from there as they contain all the information, regarding the name of program directors, contact address, number of seats, number of interviews, program details etc. If you have to fin out whether they are img friendly or not, the best thing to do is to email each and every program coordinator asking for their requirements and if they sponsor visas or not. There is a list of img friendly hospitals for each specialty here at www.usmleweb.com to get a general idea. Once you get an idea, apply wisely. Good luck!
