Green Cards For MDs

visiting the web site you ask about mdnurse will provide the doctors with specific information about how earning a nurse diploma through the St. Petersburg Medical Academy of Postgraduate Studies (MAPS) will earn the doctor a nurse diploma recognized by CGFNS for their certification program. Earning t he CGFNS Certificate, (given in 3 cities in India) will get the doctor a job in the US, with a green card. While there earning a good salary, the doctor can complete requirements for his or her ECFMG certification, and will then be able to accept any hospital residency they can find, because they'll have their green card.

The program is especially interesting to doctors who have been denied visas to take their CSA exam, offered only in the US.

The "Green Cards for MDs" button at their web site gives 18 pages of information, with links, about how and why a doctor can get the green card going this route.

It also provides links on how thousands of medical doctors each year from the Philippines (where most nurses going to the US with their green cards come from) use this route to get their, with their families.

US Immigrant Visa backlogging ?? The site also provide information on how in January of 05 the US immigration quota of annual immigrant visa backlogged up to 3 years (wait 3 years for immigrant visa) for the third employment based preference (EB3, professionals and skilled workers, e.g. computer engineers, nurses, etc.). This backlogging of immigrant visas for the EB3 Catagory effected China, Phillippines and India.

No back logging of visas for Nurses: In May 05 the US Congress made 50,000 immigrant visas available for NURSES and physical therapist. And only them. All other intending immigrants from India and the other countries will continue to wait up to 3 years for their immigrant visas. But not nurses. They immigrate in the time it takes to process, because there are and will be immigrant visas available to them.

The program, known as the MD/Nurse Diploma program (mdnurse) graduated its first class of doctors in June 05. The next class group starts in August 05. The doctors who recently graduated, and the doctors already enrolled for the August course, checked out the information as thoroughly as an medical doctor will, and enrolled.

The mdnurse web site gives information for interested doctors to send their messages directly to the doctors who completed the course.

My advise, get the information from the "horse's mouth" by sending those doctors your inquiries.

Good luck.
